Bell & McCoy was established in 1972 and was transitioned to Bell & McCoy Companies in 2012 when the buy-out of the original partners was completed. Bell & McCoy Companies is owned by Chris Coursey. Under Chris’s leadership, along with the executive team of Rob Duncan, Chris Tullos, Jason Shaver, Ryan Lubs, Kody Ellis, Hayden Schramme, and Matt Eddleman, the company has grown to be one of the largest agencies in the country.

In November 2023, Bell & McCoy Companies merged with FRM Inc., who was established in 1969. Our vertical businesses (Electrical Supplies, Lighting and Controls, Utility, Tool and Safety, Luxury Homes, and Programming) offer customers and manufacturers a unique solution to complete market coverage. The combined companies now have over 600 employees spanning across the US, covering the states of Arizona, New Mexico, Texas, Oklahoma, Louisiana, Arkansas, Mississippi, Alabama, Tennessee, Georgia, Florida, North Carolina, South Carolina, Virginia, Kansas, and Missouri. Each of our companies operate as an individual business unit with full teams covering the commercial, industrial, and residential markets in their territory.

Our people are the strength of our company! We are proud of the long tenure in our Bell & McCoy Companies family and the bond that drives everyone to work hard together. Over and over we experience the commitment our teams have to each other and our company.

Our customers and manufacturer partners are at the core of our success! The manufacturers that we represent are sold through distribution and we are focused on the commercial, residential, industrial, and utility markets. We focus our time, energy and efforts on distributors, electrical contractors, engineers, architects, lighting designers and general contractors to educate and influence our products in the market. Some of these relationships are generations deep and others are just getting started, but each is important as we grow our businesses together.
